A person I have admidered but have not met Is my mothers brother Joe, who died by a car If I were to meet him, in the past, in a malt shop is where we would take a seat On a night wher there is a moon but not one star The moon would be bright, his suit new Maybe a light rain So that in the morning the grass be full of dew We would talk and sip on old fashioned malts, while what gose by is a trian I would tell him about my childhood He would tell me about his boxing and his life and life and thoughts His hair would be combed back , as best, as good We might both enjoy the food we bought While in eachothers company he tells me about my mother as a child I would be overjoyed just to see him with my own eyes His life was really cool and mild Then I leave with a sigh I will miss him so much, but at least I got to see that face and hear that voice and see that smile And at least he got to know me He will be in my memory for more than a while And at last he got to know and see The person he never got to know aout and that felt a love for him without knowing the person he was Written April 7th, 2002 © on Apr 06 2002 04:46 PM PST   18 • 0 • 10
