[standing on the street corner]
By Meowy
standing on the street corner alone under the illuminating light i softly weep... of my own personal pain thousand of lies look upon me through the darkness, taunting eyes, pointed fingers kleenex soaked with tears... the whole world is a stage and im just a little bug upon it... your lies blanket me... with its decieving warmth only to coil up and strangle me with a greed unknown i deny what they say i am... i am not what they think i am... prying eyes look upon me silenced laughter open-mouthed nothing but quietness a haunting quietness.. leave me be... leave me alone... stop. soon the torture begins the stones now fall upon me i fall but i do not shatter the streetlight on the corner finds me cradles me in its arms whispering "Je plie et ne romps pas" I bend but do not break... You bend but you will not break... my little light.. you quieten my tears... you love me completely... KM99 (Je plie et ne romps pas. - I bend but do not break. - Jean de La Fontaine )the quote is by J.F. -- i liked this quote so much and i wanted to incorporate that it into a poem.. so thats why :) Written October 10th, 2001 © on Oct 10 2001 06:53 AM PST 18 • 0 • 10
