Walking on the beach In the early morning sun The pinks, the purples, and the blues The waves shoot up Like a bullet from a gun The silence is frightening But it makes me feel peace The cold morning wind biting At me for release I sit down In the sand I look around And think about God's plans Lying with you In the early morning warmth There's nothing to do As we watch the sky Black Grey Pink and blue I think about the past And how lucky I am The world It moves so fast I have worked so hard With my own hands I never thought I would But now I know I can I look out the window And see all the busy people I wonder if they know How to feel They're always running And driving too fast I wonder if they stop And wonder how long Their lives will last Take the time to look at the flowers And watch their children play In the morning they spend hours Trying to get to their busy days Have they looked into the eyes Of their sons Thir daughters They might seem to busy To even try Written December 16th, 2001 © on Dec 17 2001 10:53 AM PST 0 • 12
