Life without a home
By Midian
So cold,so little love, how I pray to the stars above.Traveling, never anywhere long.I question my life,is this wrong?Drugs and sex, said to be glamorous. Then why do they always hinder us?Got to move the police are here.I run and hold back a tear.Found this cave it will keep us dry.Now I have a place to cry.Why mother would you leave me?If you could see me now you wouldn't believe.I am the thug you fear.As you walk past hold your purse near.Panhandle for change to wash my clothes.I see you stare,It's me you loathe.I'm beaten and robbed for a dollar in change. This all feels so deranged.how could I have ever known,This is what it's like in a life with out a home.I was homeless for two years this poem means a lot to me it reflects what I have learned.
