Part of You

By Minds Eye

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I am the darkness that shadows your mind Some feel I am a burden Maybe I am But I can be used to your advantage You just don't choose to None of you do I don't care! Why should I? You don't seem to There is a catch to my existence You must believe Believe in me and all I am capable of Are you afraid? Does curiosity have you within it's grasp? Then look for me Look deep within yourself Sometimes, late in the evening When your mind can't help but wander You look deep into that corner of your room And see me staring back at you The more you believe in me, the stronger I become Let me be what I am destined to be That dark shadow in the corner of your mind.
