6 Billion Proud

By mlamont

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Down to the ground these walls come down With 6 billion proud Using one voice. We are all differant in color, in creed, in mind But our hearts are all the same. Sing with me through these troubled times Sing with me just one more time Sing for you and sing for us Just sing on until we are all turned to dust Yesterday we were just Today we never thought we could But tomorrow in the hands of time We live on in the sunrise And for all the life and for all the dying With just one voice we could all be fighting Forget your gods and forget your science Just come with me and we will make this our world. Never lost, but never found we are the middle We never thought we could be 6 billion proud. Written December 18th, 2001 © on Dec 18 2001 12:46 PM PST   20 • 0 • 9
