Black and White
By mlamont
For what it is I can no longer see My mind is empty my hope is lost I wake up day in and day out the hours lost the hours past When I dream it is in color But somehow my days are in black and white For what can do this to me? A love lost proves much of this to thee. Many have come, and many have gone. But this one, I swear, was the one. When she looked in my eyes it was almost with a sigh and for whatever reason she is no longer mine. She was my someone she was my sea I thought I could protect her, from all that I could see. I imagine where she is on this black and white day wishfulling thinking that this grey would go away. But now I realize that the world never stops for a broken heart. But time seemed to stop when I gazed in her magical eyes. And with every beat my heart would sigh. Soon I will forget this heartache and pain. And my days will return to color, This will never be in vain. Wherever she is and whatever she does my dreams will still be in color and my days in black and white.
