Words written in water

By Myra Lochner

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Oh Love! You have written your words in water; cradled in the hollows of Silence and in cupped hands of compassion ... drifting on shimmering secrets. The incomprehensible depth of the Soul translates the hydrophytic tale of passion: untroubled, as a philosopher addressing the Self, I found rest within your rippling. I await your rapid flow: that unsuspected gush in the stream to test the buoyancy of fantasy; to feel, not tranquility, but the waves of fulfillment; slipping into the whirlpool of ecstasy.
