Between The Lines

By NanaBear

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

The space between the lines expresses the depth of everything left unsaid within the phrase. In the heart and mind resides that which is real... that which never changes. We are not the "dust of this earth" - that which comprises our mortal bodies. No, we are the "witness", the "observer" inside the dust. Ego is of the physical world.  Leave it! Move into the realm of the spirit to "expand" consciousness. To be inspired - "in spirit" - gives "second sight"... alert and enlightened... open to everything, yet at peace; able to sit quietly in a room, alone. It is a quality of spirit. What is sadder than a half-lived life? Wisdom takes practice... reading between the lines. Written March 1st, 2001 © on Aug 26 2001 08:23 AM PST   0 • 12
