I knelt where Christ once knelt and prayed; I caught the briefest sight of all His torment, grief, and pain, within a flashing light and scarce could take it in! To witness God's  beloved Son in agony because of me, that my soul might be won. His sacrifice upon the cross, his blood so freely given within the sacred garden grove, and when cruel nails were driven into His perfect flesh, was all for me! How could I look and still remain here in my sins? My very spirit shook! I stood beneath the shadow of His cross and saw His face. Though wracked with pain he smiled at me... and I cried in disgrace to think He loved me, even though He knew all of my sins!  My heart was broken and I vowed to never more leave Him. When He cried, "It is finished!" and departed, I remained to follow those who sought to bury Him - His body claim.  I stood beside the tomb and wept as all His family wept.  He looked so peaceful wrapped in clean white linen, as if He slept. I sat upon a rock and watched the Roman guards - three days - then felt the earthquake, saw the angel roll the stone away, and stood as witness to the resurrection of the Lord!  He smiled again and my heart beat with His in full accord. All this I saw in one bright shining moment, near a tree of ancient parentage, a hoary olive, next to me.  And I become converted, truly, to my God and King, that day I knelt where Jesus knelt... and heard the angels sing!
