\"Speed Bumps\"

By NanaBear

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

From pole to pole on poles we glide throughout the galaxy, in search of life on other spheres, perhaps the same as we. We dance around our globe that's bent, like actors on a stage, and leap across the starry skies with words upon a page. Our thoughts fly past the speed of light, exceed beyond our grasp, and fail to see the needs at hand, while mysteries we'd clasp. It's great to see how far we've come - advancements in great jumps - but our progress is oft' undone when we ignore speed bumps. Written January 4th, 2000 © on Aug 26 2001 05:16 PM PST   0 • 12
