The \"Only\" View
By NanaBear
Man can't believe in what he won't. That science has made clear. It stems, not from an ignorance but, rather, from his fear That "someone else" is in control of everything he sees. So, stubbornly, against all facts, he simply disbelieves; Insisting "he" is at the helm; "his" is the greatest mind; Who, with intense and rational thought, can all the answers find. Yet all great minds one day conclude, if they've integrity, That finite minds just cannot grasp "what" is eternity. Man cannot reason what's beyond his reason - so most won't. What cannot be explained, BY THEM, isn't worthy of their note. Thus "scientifically explained" phenomenon are few. Most are ignored, for man's convinced "his" in the "only" view. This sin of unbelief keeps men bound down and blind to light, Which ever shines around them; makes them shun it with their might Until, one day, the light's withdrawn and they're left on their own Among the thistles and the thorns which they, themselves, have sown. So, sadly, mankind's greatest minds are lost upon the sea Of unbelief - and won't progress - for they REFUSE to see! © on Aug 26 2001 09:46 AM PST 0 • 9
