He was dead by Dawn a stranger lying stiff across the lawn he was no one but man without a name brutally murdered with no one to blame he couldn't escape, to weak to pull free instead he surrendered willingly his plea for help was unheard he cried out in vain, as he spoke his last word I never saw the killer, when I looked he was gone all I could see was a stranger lying stiff across the lawn The knife was emerged in his flesh by a man the stranger fell down, unable to stand his body went numb, he could move no more his face was frozen in fear and his limbs were tore his skin barely seen as the blood turned him red it was like a bad dream and I could tell he was dead. I looked closer at the man who died by dawn it was my father...lying stiff across the lawnthis was written 11 years ago..it has been published by "The National Library of Poetry" in their anthology edition "Adrift on the Breeze" and won their editors choice award Written November 20th, 2001 © on Nov 20 2001 08:17 AM PST   0 • 1
