wings
By neha bhat
Give me my wings. Cause I want to fly Far far away And then? Then come back, Sit in your lap And tell you, ‘See, I went to far away places Saw every human race Met people just like me And even like what I couldn’t imagine them to be. Then By and by I grew tired Of the same old people. The same old places. Same old faces. Grew tired of my wings. And I just didn’t feel like Flying. Anymore.’ And I looked up to you— ‘Now I don’t want to fly. Anymore.’But wait Don’t take away my wings yet. I don’t want to fly right now. But who knows? I might want to start again all over Tomorrow… Written January 10th, 2002 © on Jan 09 2002 07:15 PM PST 10 • 0 • 12
