Hateful Reflections

By Neurosine

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I imagine you uncaring, unfeeling, devising, despising, demeaning, inconsiderate, selfish, and vain. So suspiciously simple to villify, to find oneself victim to anothers disguise. Cheapening profound emotions, deny everlasting moments, that shaped us. Touching another so deeply made us wise. Now hurting, we toxify ourselves. Poison our hearts with our minds, It's simply a matter of realizing blame, is a poor lie as we pine, we should know we get burned, and that's just a part, of things going on in their way. It's the chance you take for the pleasure of loving, the sword swings always both ways. So I'll try to be big and not see you, as the lie I made up in my mind. I'll love you forever, the touch is eternal, but I'll leave your spectre behind. Written December 13th, 2001 © on Dec 12 2001 07:55 PM PST, Neurosine    0 • 10
