Insidious Reason

By Neurosine

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I can convince myself of anything, in time, reason is insidious, truth is sublime. I can open up a precipiece, stare down deep inside, see the images coalesce, begin to slowly define. The heart believes what it wants to, indescriminate, notions of space and time, meaningless, insubstantial, denied. In reason they are the harbingers of truth., They dictate, decide, all that we deride, a trick of the mind. Sweet reason, I hold so close, always betrays me. The heart at least, tells me, the undeniable truth, over and over again, until I understand. Reason states it once, leaves me alone to understand, unphathonable realities, enhances banality, overlooks, what doesn't seem to fit, it is an imperfection, a justification, for itself.
