By night by Dave Adam

A long time ago, (about 30 years) when Christmas was like on the cards, a child grew up in a hot southern town, and had never seen snow in his yard. The children from there were told every year that Santa would land on the beach touch down past the dunes on the north end of town so distant and so out of reach. But, now back to the boy, that lived in the south, that this song is really about, he had in his mind that this all was a lie, and "This Christmas I'm gonna' find out!" It didn't seem real that some Santa concealed Would make these rounds every year, this boy was not buying, he knew they were lying, and tomorrow it all would be clear. An ambush of sorts thought up by a child in an attempt to get to the truth, while some content to buy this lie He had his plan for the roof. His flashlight was ready and so was he as he waited the hall light out He had in his mind that this all was a lie, and "This Christmas I'm gonna' find out!" He was so nimble, he was so brave as he made his way on the roof, while some content to buy this lie, This child was out for "The Truth" I guess he found out before he died there is no Santa Claus. He hit the ground in his pajamas his light fixed on the stars. Written March 27th, 2002 © on Mar 27 2002 02:02 PM PST, Dr David A DAm    angst
