East to West

***Please do not rate this poem with a star...the friends I made, who were in mind while I wrote this, are worth much more than a few stars. Feel free to place your thoughts on this poem, but do not rate it. Thank you.*** Amazing people did I see and meet My states senators, JFK's brother, and Hillary Clinton But what made this trip so sweet Was getting to know you. Days are suddenly more bright Because of your optimistic ways You've shown me the world, and all that is right Simple things that were never thought twice. You, who could make me smile Keep me laughing We could always talk for quite awhile To you, I opened up and let myself go. If I could pick a word to define The alluring vibe you give out Not one could descibe your aura divine The one I've come to discover in a few days spent. In the week I have known you A romantic, comedy or an artist People like you, so caring are few A friend who's honest and true. This poem, I dedicate to all of my new friends who went on the Washingon D.C. Close Up the week of December 1 - December 8, 2001. It was great meeting so many new people, and growing close to a few of you. Written December 10th, 2001 © on Dec 10 2001 10:07 AM PST 18 • 0 • 10
