Voices In My Heart

His eyes are challenging mine Daring me to hold This gaze so divine His stare is never cold But filled with warmth, well defined. But it's his sweet smile that invites Me into his special place As we roam the city's sights In a wide open space Through dark starry nights. So we talked together today Just you and I alone I, hanging on everyword you say With every change of tone Wanting to always remain this way. How I wish you felt the same As we catch up on days not long ago My heart leaps like a children's game I breathe in deep, so my heart will slow As I look into his dancing eyes that set me aflame. I told you of my worry Lifting all my stress You sent it away in a hurry Somehow making it feel less Vanishing like a dove in a snow flurry. We spoke of our future After mentioning our present I remember how you sounded so sure Of your plans to me you sent This day, I'll always treasure. The time went much too fast These minutes together flew And now it's all in the past A conversation so true In my memory, it will always last. Your voice in my heart.
