What is it about you That makes people strive to be Independent, confident and true Challenging others to break free. Questions no one dares to ask you Though answers you do hold And words so amazingly true Incredible knowledge, modestly showed. Mystery rests within your eye Concealing your thoughts from view Confident you appear, anything but shy Yet only opening to a select few. Your influence taken to heart With words spoken, sharp to the mind Puncturing like a dart Painfully honest, yet kind. Eerily aware of your presence Words said, but not spoken Leaving me always in suspense Pondering your thoughts, strong and unbroken. Why do you look at me so With your eyes that allure Drawing me in, ever so slow As I search your gaze, that seems so sure. Your charm attracts all Who come in your way Longing to hear your voice call And impatiently awaiting that glorious day.I wrote this about my friend. He is so amazingly mysterious and deep.
