A nightmare without end
By nyjohn00
A nightmare without end On and on Over and over I see the cycle Again and again A spouse who is manic A child who they say Has the illness only more Like his mother but with Effective you see Mania and schizophrenia Normal on his med It's the alcohol and drugs Watching him spiral Going down and down Was difference when younger Was able to help Now all I can do is pray and hope For the peace of his soul He is destroying his life Hurting the ones around him Seeing the love of his life broken Crying in my arms Asking me why, again and again I wish I could take All their pain away I'd gladly take it I can't even cry The terror I feel Seeing my child God, I ask why Written April 15th, 2002 © on Apr 15 2002 03:18 PM PST, John 0 • 1
