A vision in a dream

A vision in a dream I'm lying sleeping in my bed Drifting into sleeps sweet peace I lift my silent thoughts to God Thanking Him for all he does Asking to see His plan. Look inside your heart Comes the response. Still deep asleep, a peace does settle my eyes look deep inside Looking, probing, penetrating the depths Searching, scanning all I see I see my heart, holder of all that is to come I've looked here many times before I know it well, but now it is clearer I see lots of doors here. They go on and on Doors for parts of my life my Doors of Joy Of a beautiful child, my mothers love Doors of Heartache Of Lost Love, the emptiness of all my tears Doors of Sorrow The loss of loved ones; momma and dad are gone, all alone Some of doors seem to be shrinking before me Some are closed and locked there time is long past I feel a presence around me, I feel you, the essence of you Turning, I see another door, it glows with hope and love A large finely crafted door, very ornate and carved With intricate craftsmanship, bright brass accents This door is oh so special, it is different not like all the rest It is ajar I am drawn to it, I have to see inside, I step in and feel my love, our love everywhere The room is larger than the world, space is needed for this love And everywhere there is you, filling making me whole There is Joy, Happiness, laughter and love The room is filled with memories, pictures and dreams I see the first time I talked to you, your smile was so pure The feeling that you were more than just another girl There was a special something about you, something unique I see the first time I felt strong emotions for you The first time I felt love for you, and wondered if you felt it too The first time I said...I love you And holding my breathe, in wait, you said I love you too Turning, I see the photographs from my mind The first time I saw you, you made the world disappear Touched your cheek, made you laugh, Held your hand. Held you in my arms, embracing all of you Kissed you, held you, caressed, touched as only true love can Made Love to you, it was of body and soul I see the most wonderful days of my life all with you by my side Turning again, I see a cavernous room; I cannot see the end A room full of our dreams, hopes, desires I start walking through it, so much to see Looking at all of them, don't want to miss one Everywhere I look, it is you and I, impossible to break apart There we are together, no one ever between Getting married, proclaiming our love, for all the world to see Starting our life together, the way it was meant to be Learning all there is to know of you About each other,  so much respect All my life from before there was you is nothing Life only began When I met you. I start running, so much to see looking...grasping, wanting to gaze all of us before me I see us, hand in hand, year after year Growing old together, a true loves tale Enjoying each other's company Never tiring of each other, adoring all that is us I'm running faster than I have ever run The dreams keep going on forever There is no end to this room,  so much of us to come I stop and look around, thinking of all I've seen I wake opening my eyes Smiling to myself, trough my tears of joy Thank You, God, in your loving heart For letting me see all the love you have granted me Written January 18th, 2002 © on Jan 18 2002 09:35 AM PST, John   0 • 8
