Her Shinning Knight
By nyjohn00
Walking thru the mist of time Toward a castle shrouded in mist The tops of the ramparts you can barely see The towers on the corners, mighty and steep Many have come, Celtic knights one an all Polish princes, Germans, Slavs They come to win the hand of the maiden And she finds none, truly worthy of her love But to my amaze as I approach this wall The drawbridge lowers, the gate raises tall I walk thru this arch leading my steed The fog suddenly clears And I am face to face with A maiden so pure She offers me her heart Telling me of her love She says she sees, her shining knight the one, of whom she dreams She says her heart, has told her this is the one The one who will love her, protect her from all harm I mount my war steed, holding reins tight And lift her in my arms to sit in my arms Turning about to leave this castle keep I find the countryside clear of the mist The flowers are all in bloom Songbirds in the air We start our new life In true loves embrace Written March 10th, 2002 © on Mar 10 2002 02:55 PM PST, John 0 • 8
