How To Tell Her
By nyjohn00
Sitting in a coffee shop Laptop on the table Trying to phrase my thoughts To tell you what I feel Sometimes it is so hard The words just never come And when they do they still don't Touch what is in my soul The burning love Yearning soul is hard to convey Why just the thought of you Makes all the words turn gray So sipping my coffee pondering how to She has heard all the words I speak A smile upon her face Her eyes always hold me in true loves embrace How to let her feel just all I feel Will it be the bright smile whenever she is near Or the gentle touch, my hand upon her back The thrill I have each time that she is near She has seen how I treat her Many years the same Heard my poems as they're written All my words of lovers praise Then the thought did hit me She knows what's in my heart My love knows how much I love her She tells me with her smile Written January 6th, 2002 © on Jan 06 2002 07:58 AM PST, John 0 • 8
