Senses Confused
By nyjohn00
Senses Confused Sitting in a coffee house Soft music playing Working on my laptop Trying to catch a poem I close my eyes and think of you A dreamy state ensues My mind wanders Immersed thoughts of you Suddenly a scent of you The essence fills the air Elatedly I look around But you are not there Next the music I hear Takes on the sound of your voice Soothing and hypnotizing Again I look around Still you are not there I see a woman sitting there The way she tilts her head The color of her hair, so familiar A smile moves my lips, calling your name She turns Sigh it is someone else My love is nowhere in sight Then the thought comes to me I was just confused What I am smelling, hearing and seeing Is love Written January 28th, 2002 © on Jan 28 2002 09:00 AM PST, John 0 • 8
