Warriors, Poets, and Bards Walking over the hillock On lush green Galway's shore The mist of old Ireland Surrounds and mystifies I am surrounded The spirits of warriors Poets and bards Surrounds and mystifies I hear their whispered voices All telling me this or that Telling me what the longed for Surrounds and mystifies The warriors tell tales, glorious and bold Of fights for country and honor, to save their love one Giving all they had, the ultimate price, conquering thru bravery Surrounds and mystifies The poets spin a tail, romantic and with valor or in mirth He tells of all warriors to fool, lovers an enemies alike He paints a picture using only words lets you feel all that is told Surrounds and mystifies The bard is the traveler, singer o songs, reciting the poems and stories of old His voice give feeling to all that was wrote, it makes you laugh if makes you cry His voice can make you sigh in awe. He keeps the stories and legends alive Surrounds and mystifies To you my fairest lass, I truly want to be The warrior that fights for you, putting myself between you and danger The poet and bard, to write and sing to you, proclaiming all your wonder Surrounds and mystifies,,, and engulfs you with love,,, Written February 22nd, 2002 © on Feb 22 2002 09:11 AM PST, John 0 • 8
