Out of defiance

By Paperdoll

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Whip the wind around my body! I will still be standing through the storm unknowing and unseeing. I break through, emerge as steel - firm, rooted in the ground. Nothing will bend or break me down. Strong willed - against my will Determination... is my strong suit There are no alternatives I will be there past the end Every time y'all broke me down I got up with a frown Stronger still against your will Bruised and battered but out of defiance never shattered.
