Friendship or Lust

By Paul B

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Since when was my friendship not enough? Replace it by Passion! Since when did we loose this trust? Take me as emotion! What happened to my companion? Give me your lust! Yes my friend, turn to that animal Of dark beating flame Curl your tongue around me Like  flaming pain Be in me! Take this now! Dark and swirling mist Latin beat and sweltering heat Beat and stab in this deadly twist Crush and meld until we meet And float or drift In that musk scented bliss Yes my friendThis is a duet of alternate lines. Either two lovers or your own internal conflict. I'm not sure which one myself. Written November 24th, 2001 © on Nov 24 2001 08:51 AM PST   18 • 0 • 10
