It Could Not Hold A Tear
By pen inhand
It could not hold a tear, my heart, my treasured space. It could not hold sweet words of love greedily consumed. It could not hold unbridled passion, nor the courage to seize. It could not hold the lies to me of spoken words of yesterday. It could not hold a loves parade of relationships gone askew. How I gingerly, carefully, tiptoe around my heart, my life place. Trodden on by life's misfortunes. Fleeting memories line my mind, like a library filled with books. © on Nov 05 2001 12:20 PM PST, Kelly Brega personal • love
