I Fight

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

My eyes burn from the rays of the sun. I didn't know it back then but now that I look back on that day I see it clearly. My thirst for the energy it produced, ruled me. I'm different now mentally and physically. I looked normal enough, but if you looked closer you could see I wasn't. It ruled my thoughts, my dreams, my fantasies, and even my emotions. My hatred was growing every minute I thought of it, I would have killed for it. My heart kept its beat just at the thought of obtaining its power and strength. But things are different now. Now fight to destroy it. I fight to destroy it because of its power over me, over everything in my life. I fight for life...This is the first time I've put poetry on the internet so I'm sorry if it's not really great. Written January 12th, 2002 © on Jan 12 2002 02:14 AM PST   10 • 0
