My Hero

Dear father, How have you been? Mom says you have been living the life of sin. And I don’t know where you’ve been. Dad please tell me it isn’t true, of the things I Know that you do. I hope you know, I have always Looked up to you. I thought you knew. You were my hero, you have always been. Do you remember how it use to be, Way back then when it was you and I? You know days flew by when you and I use to play, Yeah we use to all day. But as I got older I quickly Realized some of the things I would despise. I hate you in many ways that I can’t describe. But I know I could never approach you for fear of my own Demise. But I can’t get mad for your lies. And seeing the way You have blackened moms eyes again and Again. Yes, I know the things you’ve done. Hell I’ve done Them too. All I had to do was open your top drawer And I would see the darker side of you. Pot, acid, heroin, and coke too. I wanted to see What it was like to be like you. Yeah, I did them too. You’re my hero cant you see. I wanted to be like you.Don’t you see, you paved the way for me. See the tracks under my sleeve. Yeah that’s it, right where the needle has been. Where do you see me after I’m crying next to your Grave. TELL ME DAD! WERE YOU BEHIND ME ALL THE WAY? WHEN MY TEAM AND I WERE PLAYING FOR NATIONALS YOU WERE HARDLY THERE! You were Fucking my teammates mom! Yeah, that stupid bitch with the nasty hair! Why did you do that? Did you know I wouldn’t tell?! Yes dad, you were my best friend then, I felt like I could have talked to you about anything then. But it’s ok dad, You are still my hero, Do you want to know why?
