Fallen Knight
warm summer sun glints off my steel shining brightly hair flowing in the wind my horse, white and strong stands ready my heart beats quickly lance poised ready the crowd cheers my name I spur, ride to you lowering the lance to accept your blessing our eyes lock my mind whispers "I love you" garter stays in hand you tossed a rose black, like the night and turned away the crowd gasped they knew what it meant my armor felt heavy world started spinning my horse fell dead I am crushed beneath it my sword rusted armor split open I lay defeated. Disgraced, dishonored I moved to the shadows watching you wondering watching waiting knowing your heart had not changed. angry, bitter saddened my honor lost my reason lost I wandered staying in darkness darkness was cool, soothing hid my pain from me and now, a lifetime later you again call my name I come, broken, destroyed not the Knight you once knew bitter, angry, strong, evil has its advantages But I will serve willingly, honorably I am yours now and forever sworn on my sword I shall defend you Now again I ride with honor, reason, dignity I long to fight for you slay your demons I am your Knight now and forever.Well it's my first one here, what do you think?
