Carried To The Flames
By Piper
****** I was split like a cord of wood dried from too much sun, carried to the flames, and then thrown in. Burning fast from your vengeance, just because my imperfections brought on that wicked grin, chilling thoughts ran off with my brain. I knew that I was no longer good enough to adorn your mantel and sure enough, you discarded me, and sacrificed my love to the junkyard of your heart. Now, as I burn I wonder if the burst of light you've made with me, will appease your gnawing hunger to destroy, Or if you will stalk and punish others throwing more souls into your tantrum mind, dwelling in the caverns of your despair.
