The Presentation of the Truth

By PoetBlack

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

The eyes never lie and broken spirits do fall down to watch the souls of us that do nothing to want, is to acquire a vision yet the discouraged mind remains idle No tear from the brave could destroy a city but idle minds make for decay I shall stand up they said who one might ask The thousands that did not have the courage to stand in the face of adversity but in the midst of adversity they did stand I shall stand up they said who one might ask they that did not have the courage to stand in the face of change but in the midst of change they did stand I do stand now and present this truth and my ancestors push me forward into the horizon with the integrity that i deserve A horizon that is brighter than ever before and in it we will all shine.
