Nestled in her misfortunesher words became slurredshe just couldn't get give up the bottleher dyed black hair became white over nightthe quick sand embrace her ankles. The person that giveth life, taketh her ownslowly into a premature graveOh forlorn mother On a door step a four-sided box remains half-empty With a letter sticking out of his receiving blanketHis mother wanted him gone before he could be thrashed on a daily basis, just like her already twice removedHer arched head full of sadnessof no longer being mama,No! not anymorebut she must do what's right for him and walk awayperhaps in the future she can search milk cartons for his face lost by thought by there thoughtless behaviorbecause of all the marks the beast, father scolded baby with hot water still relicsLike a rag doll shaken by loveless fingerstime out was him being thrown in the cornerheld in a prison of tough lovetainted lovebestowed on a only childhe could have the president of United Statesthe name carrier that real fathers neednow he will be added among the collection many hurt by family ties.
