The Path That I Take
The Path that I take, God leads the way. Others may forsake, yet He'll be my stay. The Path that I take, has wolves slaying sheep. 'Tis a terrible mistake surrendering to their keep. The path that I take, is not very easy; My soul might ache, but it's right for me. The path that I take, is truly slow and long, with many choices to make, I'll stride with a song. The path that I take, is an enduring test. I may make a mistake, but I'll score the best. The path that I take, is not peaches and cream. Sometimes I need a break, when my stress is extreme, But I will keep on going, my faith, I can't forsake, there's light and life glowing, ending the path that I take. ***** Poetic Fanatic ***** Thomas F.
