The Commuting, Free Flowing, Mindless Rant

By Post Mortem

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

(Or things I rarely say out loud.) Dreamt about a drunk lady with a snake And making it with Agent Scully Wonder if the stock market knows Or just hurts in random 11:11 a.m. 11:11 p.m. All ones Subliminal message Or the Ying and Yang of time I watched water boil So that’s a lie. Must have passed a serial killer On the way to work Boss man Boss lady Boss me Stayed in the elevator To hear the whole song Bag of grease for lunch A day closer to coronary care Seat belt, cell phone, ticket Made a funny face in the mirror Didn't stay like that That's a lie too Guess I should take all the teeth Out from under my pillow Wait in the toll line A million butts under the guardrail At least 10 cotton bales of filters Same re-tread In the same spot Three weeks EZ-pass Speed trap Gauntlet done Driveway parked Mail No news is good news At least that is not a lie Dead squirrel in the pool No beer Time to visit the snake charmer And the FBI lady Sleep is the only escape Monday to Friday Lonely commuting blues rant But I suppose that is a lie too It's only Monday.
