Crystal Hearts Broken

By Random

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Was there ever a reason To put me through this pain But what would not have happened If we hadn’t played this game Juggling fragile crystals Which are our hearts But you laughed when you dropped one And when it broke apart You broke my heart and burnt my soul But you never had enough You always wanted more With complaints returned with a scoff. Why do you treat me like I’m nothing And forget that I do feel I loved you and still do Wasn't that in the deal? I can't believe that in those days I couldn’t see through your hurtful lies Or that snicker here and there All you were was the devil in disguise There isn’t an us any more But nothing to separate us Just two people going down the same road Leading to different placesThis poem was written together with Nell, half the lines are by her and the other half by me. So don't forget to comment to her as well ;) Written March 28th, 2002 © on Mar 27 2002 09:45 PM PST   0 • 10
