What was supposed to be
By RavenCross
You know that we were supposed to be. We met in Central Park, talked for hours then it got dark. Then we drank soda from the vending machine and made pictures with the stars. Before we knew it the sun was up again and we went our separate ways. I wrote my number on a dolar bill, But you spent it in a coffee shop on 51st. I've gotten calls but they're not from you. Oh, don't you know that we were supposed to be. Haven't you see that I was supposed to love you. I wonder what you said when the dolar bill was gone and you'd never have my number. If only you could see who I ended up with, You'd know, you're so much better. It'd be nice if one day before we die, We can meet someday again.
