The Days of Pain

By ray of light

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Gray dust lay upon her happiness, Her beautiful smile had rusted. Each breath of her's was full of pain. I tried to rub it off, but all in vain. She just sat there all day, in her gloomy room. Staring into emptiness. Her life was now a torn rag. I tried to stitch it up, but the threads were too weak, To hold it together. Water filled her eyes, tears streamed down her cheeks. Her pain penetrated to her heart and soul. I felt how wounded she actually was, for she had lost everything. Her life was now black and white. I tried to color it in, But for they weren't waterproof, Got erazed by her tears the very next day. I have done all i could do, but nothing seems to work. I will keep on trying, Till i bring her joy and smiles for eternity. Written June 6th, 2001 © on Jun 05 2001 08:20 PM PST   0 • 1
