Apathy

I strive in cultural weakness The holes made by too few having way too much And no one understanding the other I step from light  I fall into shadows I walk in the dark recesses of a sacked society I watch the vagrants life unhinge Lying in the bright light of day As Godfearing men clean the streets of trash And the dark faceless forms that invade their commerce With their boxes and weather newsprint I see the darkness  I'm blinded by light I see sights that angels abandon in pity and wives revolt in disgust I tread in darkness  I walk in light One can not see the other I invite the light to come and see the swallowing whore As she gets plunged by lewd cocks in anonymous forums I invite the darkness to see a new mother's child suckle at her breast Both are repulsed Both are quickly forgetting the other Written October 4th, 2001 © on Oct 04 2001 06:29 AM PST   0 • 1
