Reach Me

By Renokhan

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

She approached me out of the race Walked up and with a word expressed God's grace upon her face She held truth and desire in opposing hands Forcing me to take a stand on life and love And things I knew nothing of I tried to reach her words How like an angel did she speak All the wonderful things she had to teach But I paid them no heed For she has what I need We talked We danced We made love again and again But none of that made sense to me I wanted something she did not have I just wanted her to make me glad She said she had no strength To carry any more than what she keeps That I had to stand on my own and learn to speak But I paid her no heed For she is all I need Written October 11th, 2001 © on Oct 11 2001 07:16 AM PST   0 • 1 • 8
