My Soul

By retro rag doll

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

My soul tells me to be myself, I keep my feelings on a shelf. My soul tells me that I'm so great, but for self-confidence I must wait. My soul tells me I have great friends, but sadly my lonliness never ends. My soul points out this guy and that, but I'm too shy to stop and chat. My soul tells me to let it out, I laugh, don't cry, and whisper, don't shout. My soul tells me a lot of things, but it doesn't help, it just won't bring, self confidence, a chance to be myself, to let my feelings show at best. Why not just lay my soul to rest? Well, now there's some things I can't do, 'cause though I try, I think of you. It's not very good, and I wrote it on a whim..... it's all true though if that helps.......
