Return of The Lady

By Rhiannon

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

She arises from the deep dark lake Slowly, like a mermaid afraid of the land. Under the crimson moon she silently walks Her small naked feet leaving light traces in the sand. A creature of myth returned from the past To bring back the magic of the Earth. A new day shall dawn for those who believe To enlightenment shall she give birth. In her white slender hand, the color of the moon, She holds the mystical blade of Arthur the King. Runes of power shine in the water's refection Memories of forgotten truths start to dance and sing. Upon the eastern shore the Sun breaks into the sky The first beam slices the night, a calling to those who will learn. Excalibur shines like a holy flame telling the world That we have lived to witness, The Lady of The Lake's return. Written June 18th, 2001 © on Jun 18 2001 09:30 AM PST   0 • 13
