What is love? a poem to my Paigey

By Richard Davis

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I find that love is hard to explain... For with love, comes some pain. Then I think should this be... Is my perception reality? I think of feelings I have for you... I wonder why they make me blue. I dream about when we'll kiss... Is this love, Should I feel like this? The one you love, you should hold... never fight, never scold. Always have an open ear... For what they say you shouldn't fear. For good times and bad they'll be there... no mater what they'll always care. All of these I promise you... No matter what I'll always do. Many chances long slipped by... We make the beds in which we lie. Sometimes love means letting go... and with it pain no one could know.. Written June 26th, 1999 © on Nov 08 2000 03:49 AM PST   0 • 8
