Twelve Floors Below

By scared2admit

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

As I look down through The frosted glass Tears begin to fill my eyes And quietly roll down my checks My heart starts to beat That much faster, My hand starts to sweat and shake And I can barely write. I shiver, even though I'm not clold Trying to forget the pictures Flashing through my mind I look down once again The building feels like it's moving And I start to feel dizzy Twelve floors below my feet Cold, hard concrete awaits, I don't contemplate jumping Just think of a time,Not too long ago, When i would of been desperate to fall I can't get the images out They sufforcate me For a minute I return to my old hell And I break down and cry Cause it's just too much to take.
