i have a body
By scarlas29
i have a body- it does all i ask; it runs, it bends, it dances for me. these are the small tasks, what else could there be? i have a body- it does all i need; my heart beats, my lungs expand, my brain thinks for me. these are the major tasks, special for me. i have a body- with waterproof skin, blinking lids and chewed nails; that last one designed by me. most tasks i do not need to think, yet appear done are they- everyday, for me. thank god, for I'd die- how creative that man must be. i have a body- with emotions designed especially for me; my heart falls in love, my soul can weep- all this for me? how beautiful my machine- how blessed i should be; to have curly hair, easy muscle tone- all gifts to me. let's think- how do we repay, the kindness god gave? we mock ourselves, belittle ourselves- just because we care? well my mind thinks, words shouldn't be wasted... i have a body- and it does what i ask; my muscles hold the pen, my mind does the imagery- words are the power, my poetry takes shape.just a thought...comment away!
