'evolution'
By scatcatblu
The petals fall from the yellow daisies that you gave me on my desk they sit and glare at my indifference much like you do when I want to be alone. You give them to me always to cheer and remind me of a love that I no longer know but that you still hang on to tenaciously hoping I will again come home. Momentarily I look at these yellow petals falling on my keyboard and wonder if I can not feel this love that you await then how can you be sure it is not gone. The thought itself sad does not touch me here I pick the petals from the letters and staring uncomprehendingly at this collision of worlds drop them in the trash where they belong. I can say the words that describe the feelings that I am supposed to show and understand the momentum that drives our lives in the direction that you want to go but inside is still numb. I am sorry I am a self absorbed bitch and if you are intent on waiting you had better endeavour to be patient and strong evolution takes time.7 Sep 2001 Written December 14th, 2001 © on Dec 13 2001 07:45 PM PST 18 • 0 • 10
