No matter what you say or do, I can't keep from loving you. I can't help it that you're in my heart and in my head. But sometimes I lie, and say I'm over you, that there is nothing you could ever do to make me come running back to you. But deep in my heart I know, to say my name is all that you would need to do. I still want you in my life. I want your arms to hold me tight, keep me safe all through the night. But sometimes I lie, and say I'm over you, that here is nothing you could ever do to make me come running back to you. Sometimes I lie, when I can't take it anymore. Can't face the hurt, or stop my tears. Sometimes I lie, when someone asks me how I am. Can't let them see the pain I'm in. I tell them there is nothing you could ever do, to make me come running back to you. but deep inside I know, to say my name, or touch my face, is all that you would need to do, and I'd come running back to you. but sometimes I lie.
