Fading Worlds
By Shadox
I walk down the aisle slowly, The echo of my shoes dancing around me, My eyes focused on my destination. The world around me fades away, A tunnel of light guides me, And I walk closer, closer to my love. I look down at your face, So peaceful, so delicate, Your eyes shut, As if in a peaceful dream, And I find myself standing there, Wondering what you're dreaming. My gaze lowers to your lips, So soft and gentle, My eyes close, bringing a tear to my eye, As i remember our first kiss, Filling me with happiness, and joy, Remembering the time we spent together, We were inseperable. I open my eyes for another look at you, Your golden hair cascading down your shoulders, To where your hands rest, folded on your chest. Another tear rolls down my cheek, As i place a kiss on your hand, And take one step back. My mind blank, i start to shake, The tears now streaming down my face, And with that, the lid is lowered, The casket closed, sealing my love inside, And sealing the pain in my heart, Forever.
